Learn to Row

So you want to try rowing?

Well, this is place to go! The University of Alberta Rowing Team  (UART) Learn to Row (LTR) offers a class geared toward students at the University of Alberta.

Learn to Row is made for individuals with no rowing experience. This class will teach you the basic technique and allow you to experience the thrill of a rowing regatta (aka race).

Our information meeting about the LTR program will be held on Monday, Sept 10th, 2012 at 6:00pm & 6:30pm in ED 129 (Education, main floor, room 129) .

This meeting will describe our LTR program and introduce the Novice program that follows the completion of LTR. You do not need to reserve a spot for this meeting, however if you would like to be reminded of the specific time, date and location you can e-mail crrowing@ualberta.ca to keep you updated.

The LTR program is two weeks long with two classes per week (total of 4 classes) and ends with a regatta (rowing race) at the Edmonton Rowing Club (where practices are held) on Saturday, Sept 22 – estimated 9 – 3 pm, specifics to come closer to regatta date.

There are 4 definitive classes:
